I want to share the story while I was naming this fakemon. You see my native language is not English, so sometimes I only remember certain words vaguely or without noticing the similarity. I designed this a while ago before giving it a name or the background , originally I was trying to use something like "queen", but that didn't fit well. Then I wrote the dex entries and I thought maybe something about the whole "blob" thing? So I remembered the word "voluptuous"...but obviously that's a bit erotic...Next somehow I found the word "plump", there came its first name "Plumpara". Para- could mean either parasite or paranormal, I thought it's not bad.

However soon I figured, it's not really that much a parasite despite it was based on crab parasite(Sacculina), and at the same time I can't think of a good Chinese version for the name "Plumpara", it will sound pretty BAD. So in the end I found a synonym "Succulent" to still represent the kinda voluptuous meaning behind. Then I just realized that wasn't the word similar to "Sacculina"? That would be great, and even greater if I combined it with the word "lure". Just a few seconds after I decided the final name...I was like...wait...wasn't there a monster called succubus!? Is it a coincidence that I happened to design and write a similar setting for this entire line?! Nort including the make evolution of course^^

It's just perfect! The origin of "succubus" even made me decide a good Chinese transliteration which will sounds very like the translation we gave for "krabby patty". 魅魅蟹寶, which means charming crab babe...that kinda feeling~XD It's beyond perfect!
